Winnie's Garden

Howie and Annie in
Winnie's Garden

I finally finished the sign for Winnie's Garden and we hung it on Sunday. I covered it with a nice coat of mariner's varnish so it will withstand moisture and the weather for years. This little garden borders our back porch and is the first thing I see when I look out my bedroom window each morning, which happened to be Winnie's favorite time of day because it was...wait for it....brekkie time!!!!! Winnie Wiggles was my light and my joy. Winnie was taken from us in January just a few months after she was diagnosed with GME encephalitis at the age of 7. There is not a day that goes by that she is not in my thoughts. I sure miss my little jiggley wiggley.

I love your "Winnie's Garden" and especiall the photo of Howie and Annie in the garden looking like they'd like a garden named for them.
They do say time heals and perhaps they are right but I know that I will miss my "boys" for longer than time. It's OK to miss, I think and remember our "kids" who ask for so little...except, of course brekkie as you put it. : )

Thank you Judy - I know you think of your boys so often. I'm glad you have your girls to keep everything running smoothly in your studio!

Hi Nancy
Oh! I just love the sign you made for Winnie. it brought tears to my eyes. Your Winnie is always with you. What a lucky pack of puggies you have to get to have a pug mom like you.

What a beautiful, painstaking job you did Nancy. I know you put your heart and soul into every detail just for Winnie. Hopefully you feel some peace in it's completion.

Bless little angel Winnie.

Hugs,
Sharon

We were sorry to hear about Winnie. GME is such a nasty disease. That is a beautiful garden and the sign is a lovely tribute.

Winnie is smiling from the bridge. What a beautiful tribute to her. The next thing you need to do is paint Winnie's Garden!

Oh my gosh the garden is beautiful. I'll bet Winnie loves looking down on it from the big dog park in the sky. :-)

Nothing like pugs and gardens. There's a booklet called "Bulldogs in Bloom," and pugs could easily be substituted.
