Best of Pugoween 2008

Liberace with Sparkley Piano

The King and Priscilla Puggy

Couch Pug-tatoes With Supporting Cast

Morticia Puggy and Haunted House

Dallas Fort Worth Pug Rescue
had a pawsome turnout on October 26, with over 200 puggies in costume. Each year people travel from hundreds of miles away and from all across the US to try to win one of the sparkley trophies at Pugoween.

I was in Chicago for business and MISSED THE SHOW!!! Fortunately, the pug dad attended and took pictures of the event. Here are some of the best photos from Pugoween 2008, the most important fund raiser for our rescue group here in Dallas. And here is a BIG shout out for pug rescuers all across the country who hosted pugoweens to raise funds for these precious babies. It is our hope and prayer that every homeless pug finds a loving furever home.

How cute! Bella won't even let me dress her up at all. :( She loved all the trick-or-treaters though!

We think it is good that doggie pawrents dress up their furs for Halloween too...otherwise only us kitties would get embarrased!

Those are some awesome contestants! We love how people are inspired to "dress" their fur babies and raise money and awareness for Pug rescue!

Aren't the costumes amazing? There are more photos from the event on the rescue web site. I loved last year's winner, the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader pug in a blonde wig with blue eyeshadow. ; )

It looks like your mom does some great work for DFW Pug Rescue! I already think she's pawsome!

I'm going to have to take a look.

Haha chocolate left?? I'm surprised the wrapper was still around! ;) He also ate two fizzie candies and then puked all over his bed.. I'm thankful it's not the couch!

Oh My! These costumes are awesome! So detailed and creative. Loved everyone of them. Don't you just love these fundraisers! Seattle has their largest fundraiser in May and it is absolutely wonderful being around all the puggies and the people they love!

Have a fun day,
Joan & Skippy

We love the Liberace pug! How creative! Of course, we're glad our mommy didn't dress us like that, but we still love to see other pugs dressed up in costume! Check out the pictures we posted on our blog from our meetup last Saturday. We had 2 Elvises there (but no Priscilla)!

Those have to be some of the most creative costumes I've seen on dogs! lol! I love them all! Talk about work though.

Winston dressed up as a ghost one year ... it wasn't his favorite costume.
